Assalamualaikum and good morning, Mr. Zaidey. As we promise last week, are you ready for this interview?
Waalaikumussalam, thank you. Yes I’m ready. So what can I do for you?
Okey...... My name is SufiBoy from Fajar Redaction. I really need your cooperation because this interview will appear in my bulletin.
Nice to meet you......SufiBoy.
My first question, can you tell me about your personal detail?
Hemp... quite simple... My name is Ahmad Zaidey bin Shaari. I was born in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan on 28 January 1977. I’m first in my family.
So.... tell me about your basic education?
Well.... I never went to kindergarten. My first school is Sekolah Kebangsaan Kamil Pasir Puteh and I transferred to Sekolah Kebang
saan Othman Talib a year later till standard 6. During my UPSR examination I got 5A. So I continued my studies in Arabic subject at Maahad Muhammadi Pasir Pekan until form 3. For your information, I took 2 major exam since I have been there. I got 6 aggregates for SRP and 9A in PMR. I further my studies at Kota Bharu actually that is the same school. I spend most 2 year there and it really paid off when my SPM result is 9 aggregates.
What did you do, I mean your plan after secondary and primary school?
Go to university, of course. I choose UKM. I prefer that university cause lots of factors. I was selected to join the Law matriculation at main Campus UKM. I’m really dreaming to go there. After 1 year at the Law matriculation programmed I join Law Caurse in the first year.
Everybody knows that you are a host of ‘Yang Arif’.Can you tell me how you got involved in that programme?
It is a long story. Actually I was to be a contestant for that programme, on behalf of another contestant. Unfortunately when the programme is going on we (TV3 crew) found that they don’t have any host that is suitable according with the concept. So the director of that programme choose anyone from the contestant to be a host. I give my name to the director and show my ability in order to be a host. After the screen test, I succeeded to be ‘Yang Arif’ host.
To be a host is nice but how you do present yourself from getting nervous during
the recording?
It is hard to hide my nervousness at the beginning but I have to learn fast. I became a host I must be calm. I have to know what I’m going to say, When I talk to the contestants I will talk to him confidently. Don’t show them your nervousness. Show your ability. During the recording there  is a lot camera in front, I always confuse which one in its function. When we got confuse it will effect our mood. As a good host I can’t show my bad mood so I have keep on smiling, calm and serious.
How about your parents opinion when you create your own career in the same time you still a student?
My parents encourage me......They do not mention anything as long as I manage my time to study. Actually this career is good. It gives me a high selfesteem and good personality in order to achieve my ambition to be a lawyer.
As long as you became a host how much you earn?
For your information, for every season it includes 15 series. Each series they will pay me about RM200. So I became a host for 2 season so I earn about RM 6000.
Do you manage to spend your money or just keep it?
I’m still student. So I need lots of money to support my life at UKM. For a begining I bought a bike and the rest I will spend it on my studies.
What is your opinion about teenagers nowadays?
I used to be a teenager but I’m not that kind of teenager. From what I can see teenagers now prefer to hang around, spend their time for nothing. They hate to show their ability even they were talented.
What is your advice to our teenager?
My advice to our teenager. Show your ability, don’t be so shy. Join a good programme that can improve our self-esteem. We as Malaysians are proud to be the best. But the most important is don’t forget Allah. We must know everything taht we do only for The Mighty. Teenagers got lots of problems just because they forget and ignore to keep on right track.  If we are in the right track we will be like  this (immoral teenagers).
I think this is enough. I don’t have any question so thank you for your cooperation Mr Zaidey.
You are welcome. It is pleasure to spend my time with you.
